SUBMISSIONS
We want to see your work! Belfry Literary Journal and Belfry Online accept unsolicited works in the genres of fiction, creative non-fiction, essays, poetry and prose.
If submitting to the Belfry Literary Journal, please do not submit more than one piece of prose and three pieces of poetry per reading period. If submitting to Belfry Online, please do no submit more than one piece of prose and three pieces of poetry before hearing from us.
There is a small fee which accompanies all submissions, which goes to paying our staff as well as funding the publication. Fees for online submissions are $5 per submission and fees for print submissions are $7 per submission.
Submission Guidelines
Belfry Literary Journal
We encourage everyone, even and especially new writers to submit to the Belfry Literary Journal. The Belfry Literary Journal's submission period runs May 1 - July 31 each year. To submit, email a copy of your submission to belfryliterature@gmail.com with the subject line "Belfry (Genre) Submission". A cover letter is appreciated with each submission, but not required.
Each submission must be accompanied by a PayPal submission of a $7 fee. In the "What is this for" tab, enter "(name you are submitting under) submission". Any submissions not accompanied with a fee payment will not be read. You can send the fee in here.
Please give us about three to four months before inquiring about the status of your submission. We do accept multiple submissions. If your submission has been published or accepted elsewhere, please inform us of the original publication so we may credit them. Work published in The Belfry Literary Journal will not be published or considered for the Belfry Online.
Belfry Online
We encourage everyone, even and especially new writers to submit to Belfry Online. Belfry Online's submission period runs year-round, with two publications a year.
To submit, email a copy of your submission to belfryliterature@gmail.com with the subject line "Belfry Online (Genre) Submission". A cover letter is appreciated with each submission, but not required.
